First Analytics Labs cohort of 2017 underway

Analysis teams met in Manchester yesterday to kick off the first cohort of Analytics Labs for 2017.

Over the next twelve weeks, teams will be developing user stories in their areas of interest and acquiring the necessary data to develop dashboards to solve problems.  The areas the teams are exploring are:

  • Finance, led by Cath Bett, University of Liverpool
  • International students, led by Shabana Akhtar, Oxford Brookes University
  • Research, led by Tom Wale, University of Oxford
  • Staffing, led by Olymbia Petrou, formerly Aberystwyth University and Cardiff University
  • Students and employability, led by James Jackson, Bishop Grosseteste University College Lincoln

30 participants make up the teams from across the UK, representing:

  • Goldsmiths, University of London
  • HESA
  • University of Kent
  • King’s College London
  • University of Leeds
  • University of Liverpool

Two more cohorts are planned this year, starting in April and September.  Recruitment for the April cohort will take place in mid to late February 2017.
